Spring is coming!
Time for the big cleanse, your body could also use a purge*. You do this by drinking plenty of water, cutting back on sugars and fats … and eating more of the products listed below. You can read how and why here.
1. Oatmeal(porridge) is a welcome guest at your breakfast table. It is packed with phosphorus and magnesium. Moreover, oats give you a prolonged feeling of satiety. Delicious with a little honey or banana and a handful of nuts or dried fruits.
2. Green vegetables (including especially leafy vegetables) pamper your body with a whole arsenal of vitamins, fiber and “phytochemicals,” which arm you against disease.
3. Everyone knows it by now: red fruits are bursting with antioxidants, Yes, they are also in green tea! They neutralize the “free radicals” roaming your body from stress, tobacco smoke and air pollution: good for purification, in other words!
4. Avoid too many proteins, as they put a lot of strain on your digestion. Red meat is very stressful, while white meat and all kinds of different fish are much more digestible. Or how about veggie and vega two days a week?
* Purifying your body is not the same as dieting. Instead of eating less, start eating more consciously. You choose ingredients that are packed with vitamins and minerals. They pamper not only your line, but most importantly your entire body. Twice right, in other words.
