Jerrold Verwey - Orthomolecular therapist Arnhem

My name is Jerrold Verwey, I am a father of 3 and live in Arnhem. I was originally trained as a medical biologist. Health and nutrition has always attracted me. The profession as a researcher did not attract me as much, so I ended up in the medical industry through a number of detours at the time. Mainly in the sale and promotion of medical supplies in hospitals, at doctors and laboratories.

Meanwhile, I have always had problems with my own health. From childhood I had all kinds of allergic symptoms, such as hay fever, eczema and allergic asthma. The regular doctors couldn’t help me get rid of it. The only thing they could do for me was symptom control, through medication. At that point, I took matters into my own hands. I thought to myself, “I have such good medical training, read a lot of professional literature, so I must be able to cure myself. The symptom is never the cause of the disease. If you find the cause, then you can really begin to cure yourself.

By chance, Orthomolecular Medicine training according to Clinical Psycho Neuro Immunology came my way. This was right up my alley: look for the cause first and then use nutrition as medicine.

We are now several years on and I continue to be amazed daily how much there is still to learn about the human body in relation to disease.
